Why NetPriceCalc was written
There's already a free net price calculator from the Department of Education. Why would anyone write another one?
So we wrote our own.
And as it was being written, we started getting excited about how good it looked, and how many neat things it could do that others couldn't, and we started thinking of even more things we wanted it to do, and it kept getting bigger and better. And then we thought we might try to sell it, but in the end we decided it would be better to give it away.
Why NetPriceCalc is Free
NetPriceCalc is free because we're looking to make new friends. It didn't take very long to develop, but it has a potentially large user base, and some of this user base will have larger and more interesting projects they'd like some help with. We want these people to know us, and that we're nice people who like writing innovative and robust software to make their lives easier.
If you want to use the service forever, you are welcome to do so without cost, without banner ads, and without any obligation. NetPriceCalc will always be a free service. We only hope that you'll consider us for other problems that need solving. Please have a look at the other services we offer, and consider including us on your next project.
